BSG Concept design for the years between the 1st & 2nd Cylon War. The Admiralty decided to take more of the offensive route to deal with the Cylons. The Medusa Battlecruiser took the battle tested systems of the Jupiter Class Battlestar and became a test bed for advanced technology systems. Which would later become the back bone of the Mercury Class Battlestar. The broken back design was integral to the nuclear payload system of 12 missiles. Advance Aegis Dradis dishes can be seen mounted on the hanger pods. These dishes provided the missile pay load with precise delivery to their targets. The Medusa's primary mission was to deliver a 1st Strike against multiple Cylon targets at once to cripple them before a war could get started. One nuclear launch bay for each Colony. Secondary mission was to be an advanced test bed for future technology.

This was never designed to be 3D printed when I created this model. It was to be used as a reference to make a physical model to be casted for resin. I have taken many steps and many attempts to cut this model up to make it printable over the past 5 years. Some of the detail is so small it will not translate in great detail at the 1:4105th scale. If printed larger they should pop more. The Gcode files will print this model out a 1:4105th scale which is common for BSG models.

upports will be needed on the Aft Engine section. You could possibly get away with out them if your layer heights are under 0.1mm.

Model has been cut into three parts to help reduce the need of supports. Gcode from my CR-10 included and a non-cut version included as well.

Note: If you want all those tiny details to translate over into your print. I would HIGHLY Recommend a layer height of 0.04 If you are printing it under a length of 9 inches.
